You Are Not Sheep The new "You Are Not Sheep" media campaign lets Wisconsin teens know about the dangers of smokeless tobacco. The campaign includes radio and online advertising. The ads focus on the tobacco industry's manipulation of teens, as well as the health effects and social consequences of smokeless tobacco use. Youth can get more info on smokeless tobacco by visiting www.myspace.com/youarenotsheep.
FACT They Killed 8000 Campaign The FACT They Killed 8000 Campaign is a media and local activism campaign that focuses on the 8,000 people in Wisconsin killed from tobacco-related illnesses each year. The campaign was created by FACT members over the course of six statewide brainstorming sessions and stars FACT youth from Amery, Eau Claire, Eagle River, Fond du Lac and Kenosha. The spot encourages youth to fight back against the tobacco industry by joining the FACT movement at www.fightwithfact.com.
Smoke-Free Workplace Radio In Winter of 2005-2006, the following three radio ads ran. Each ad features a story of a person impacted by secondhand smoke and promotes smoke-free workplaces. A media request form should be filled out for use of all radio ads. The radio spots are available for use as PSAs or community education efforts. If you are contemplating a paid media flight, a consultation with the Media Coordinator must be scheduled prior to buying time for the radio spots. This is necessary to avoid overlap with statewide media buys.
