On Thursday, August 15, the FDA unveiled 13 new graphic warning labels for cigarette packs. The proposed graphics deal with some of smoking's lesser-known side effects, including head and neck cancer, erectile dysfunction, bladder cancer, and cataracts and macular degeneration. The last time cigarette pack warning labels were updated was in 1984. This is the FDA's second attempt to update the warning labels -- the first was in 2011.
