On Wednesday, September 11, President Donald Trump announced that his administration will pursue banning non-tobacco-flavored e-cigarettes. The move is intended to address the youth e-cigarette epidemic by decreasing youth initiation of the products, and hopefully that of combustible tobacco products.
E-cigarette use among Wisconsin high school students rose 154% between 2014 and 2018. 89% of Wisconsin high school students, and 95% of Wisconsin middle school students, say they would not try unflavored tobacco products.
