Wisconsin Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Treatment Program

I am the Epidemiologist and member of the State of Wisconsin's Tobacco Prevention and Control Program (TPCP). I'll be supporting internal and external partners and colleagues with all things data and evaluation. I enjoy working collaboratively with others and leveraging available data to track metrics of interest and use data to help in decision making. I earned my B.S. in Health Professions from Grand Valley State University and my Master of Public Health from Central Michigan University. The main topic of my graduate work was tobacco use and prevention, so I'm happy to join the fine team at TPCP. Prior to this role, I worked in a COVID-19 response team that provided infection prevention assistance to nursing homes across Michigan. A little background about myself; I've moved around a bit but I'm originally from California and spent the early part of my childhood in a small town north of Mexico City. My family has been in Michigan for the last 25+ years, so I'm familiar to the wonderful seasons the Midwest has to offer (including the chilly joy that is winter). Outside of work, I can be found in a coffee shop with my wife (Alli) or walking my 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Maggie Mae.
