The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention launched new ads in its Tips from Former Smokers campaign on Monday, March 23. The newest ads feature six stories from people individuals dealing with tobacco-related illness. The illnesses range from Buerger's Disease to cancer, heart disease, and to COPD. The ads also focus on people providing care to those with tobacco-related illness. The new ads will run through October 4th, 2020, pausing three times during the 28–week run for the weeks of Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
