U.S. Surgeon General: Teen E-Cigarette Use is an Epidemic

On Tuesday, December 18, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams released an advisory report on e-cigarette use by teens. The report declared teen e-cigarette use an epidemic. The report detailed the health consequences of e-cigarette use by young people, and shared that 1 in 5 U.S. high school students and 1 in 20 middle school students currently uses e-cigarettes. The report also recommended actions for parents, teachers, health professionals, and community leaders.
