Walmart to discontinue the sale of e-cigarettes

On Friday, September 20, Walmart announced that it will end the sale of e-cigarettes after it has expended its current inventory. The move follows a rash of lung disease cases related to vaping, which itself recently prompted President Trump to announce his intention to prohibit flavored e-cigarettes. In July, Walmart increased its sales age for tobacco products to 21.

Walmart will continue to sell conventional cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products.
